Missions Director
Bro. Gary Newman is a native Floridian who felt the call of God to serve in missions. He prepared for the ministry at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Due to medical reasons, Gary was unable to serve on the mission field.
God nevertheless has used his passion for world missions to be a great help to churches. Gary has served as the missions direction at Westside Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida; and in the year 2000, he began serving in this role at Bible Baptist Church of Mandarin.
The Lord has allowed Bro. Newman to take several missions trips to Mexico and one trip to Japan. Through his leadership FBC has consistently increased its missions support every year.
Gary and his wife, Martha, have been blessed with three children: Naomi, Stephen and Lydia.
